ACCESS LOCATION AND CLIMATE OF NAGOYA UNIVERSITY

œ LOCATION

The Nagoya University campus is the site for the symposium, which is located east of Nagoya City.  Nagoya is the capital of Aichi Prefecture and also the venue for the gThe 2005 World Expo, Japanh.  The conference attendants can fully enjoy this big exposition before and/or after the IFSS-Nagoya05 Forum and the ISETS05 Symposium.  The tourism convention desk will be available at the conference desk.  Aichi Prefecture is located in the geometrically central district of Japan and world-famous for various industries of advanced ceramics, aerospace, automobiles etc., and also known for its historic sites such as gThree Great Shogunsh and beautiful castles, and the great 262 hit-baseball player gICHIROh who was a high school student in Nagoya.

œ CLIMATE

The climate in the Nagoya area in early August is characterized by temperatures ranging from +26 ‹C (night) to + 35 ‹C (day) with high humidity up to 80 % and some possibility of rain.  Although all the conference rooms are well air-conditioned, it is recommend to wear thin cloths and to bring a cap for the outdoor use.

œ VENUE

The Nagoya Univ. Campus can be easily accessed from the Chubu International Airport by the Meitetsu Line(Airport-Kanayama:about 25 min.) and Mejo Subway (Kanayama-Nagoya Univ. : about 15 min).  The Integrated Building (IB) of Nagoya University is besides the subway exit (within 1 min by walk).
